Bryan "Spanky" Lyburn

Bryan "Spanky" Lyburn was born into the Blues. Raised along the banks of the Mississippi River in Wabash, Arkansas, Spanky was first exposed to the Blues by his Uncle John, a Bluesman who played Guitar and Saxaphone. John introduced him to the recordings of Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Junior Wells which sparked Spanky's love of the harmonica. Spanky's education brought him to the Mid Atlalntic region in the mid 90's where he met international recording artist Charlie Sayles. Charlie and Spanky became close friends and have played together on and off for years. In 2005, Spanky was invited to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Recently, Spanky has taken root in Frederick, MD and would like to thank his good friends in Ronnie Ray and the Coolers for all their support, guidance, and for introducing him to the Robert Allen Blues Band.
