Al Papenberg

Al has played in various top 40 touring bands in the '60s. Al met Bob Hoyle in 1969 and toured the East Coast in bands such as; Ajax, the B-Town Allstars and the Depot. Then in 1978 heard the likes of James Cotton, Albert Collins, Luther Allison, the Nighthawks and the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. Ever since, Blues/Rock has become his passion.

From humble beginnings in Key West, Florida,"I believe the best is yet to come. Gimme an old Strat and a Tube amp and it's 'Bar Room Boogie Blues' time!" He and Bob formed Night Train in the late 80's.With two successful CD's recorded and now one of the namesakes of "The Robert Allen Blues Band" Al believes that this quartet brings out the "absolute best" in one another.
